Strepthroat feels like its getting worse with even stronger antibiotics that doc recently gave less strong ones didn't work. doc didn't test for strep?

Every sore throat...: is not strep.If you are on your second course of antibiotics and are feeling worse, you need to be reevaluated. There are other significant infections (such as mono) that can cause similar symptoms as strep but won't respond to antibiotics. In addition, when not getting better you want to make sure you haven't developed an abscess or anything that needs more urgent care.
