Lisinopril (ACE inh): Angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors are generally effective and well tolerated and for patients with PKD may help to preserve kidney function better than other BP medications. They are contraindicated however, in early pregnancy due to risk of birth defects. Other meds are acceptable options. Often control of BP without significant side effects is trial and error process.F/u with MD.
