Bottom left side of lip keeps swelling on and off again for the last 2 weeks i haven't done, ate, drank or messed with anything new what causes this?

Saliva retention: Sounds like damaged minor accessory salivary gland(s) that do not allow the fluid to drain. Gland(s) fill then slowly the fluid is reorbed allowing the swelling to go down. See your dentist or oral surgeon, they may need to be surgically removed.
