Not recommended: Benedryl cream can be absorbed through the skin. Prior to 2 months of age, absorption of medications through the skin is significantly greater. Benedryl can have harmful effects, especially in an infant. All medications, including topical medications, should be avoided in infants less than 2 months of age unless specifically prescribed/recommended by a physician.
