Varicose veins: Varicose veins are enlarged, swollen veins that you can see under the skin. They are often red or blue in color. Varicose veins most frequently occur on the legs, but can occur in other parts of the body. Varicose veins can vary in appearance. Tiny veins may appear like thin lines often in spider like pattern or lacy pattern, larger veins look with robes or hoses under the skin.
