A member asked:

If a soleus or achilles rupture heals incorrectly due to never seeing a doctor, would it require surgery to correct the issue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depending on time: Depending on the severity of the tear and how long you went without medical treatment. If it is truly ruptured u will need surgery to repair. The Achilles tendon is a very strong tendon. If not repaired properly you may have problems for the rest of your life.
