Is it common to have a folliculitis scar on lower ab/ genital area? diagnosed with folliculitis but worried about syphilis with the scar.

No usually...: If the folliculitis is promptly treated no scarring expected. But some people have scarring tendency...like Keloid formation. Rather Herpes may be more possibly resemble folliculitis. Syphilis will produce painless ulcer......which heals on its own. If you are past that stage.....secondary syphilis can produce rash......different than folliculitis. HIV can cause rash....resembling folliculitis
