Can a doctor easily tell the difference between syphilis and folliculitis just by looking at it?

Diagnosis: Folliculitis has characteristic physical exam finding and likely would not be confused for syphillis. However, the rash of syphillis mimics many other diseases and conceivably could be confused for folliculitis. Blood testing is the best way to get a final diagnosis.
