Sinus infection: Probably a sinus inflammation and infection since the palate is sore. You might need to have a course of antibiotics.

Trauma?: Have you been hit in the nose, face lately by anything? Trauma comes to mind, but you would know. If not, what others symptoms do you have? Severe coughing, lethargy, aches and pains, etc? Do you have a history of any systemic diseases, take asa, or live in a dry climate, htn? If no trauma in your personal immediate history, i would go see an ENT or pcp for an examination and diagnosis.
