BPs bounce around: it is normal for the blood pressure to bounce around a bit. ideal level is 120s-130/80 or less 90% of the time; an unexpected reading might be an error - recheck in a few minutes, reposition cuff; emergently dangerous BPs are 200s/120s (see doc very soon/now); BPs higher than 140/85 over months/years increase risk of stroke or heart attack.
