A member asked:

I have an omron bp cuff and sometimes it shows 3 hearts stacked next to each other. my user manual says it could be picking up on an irregular heartbeat.i have pots and heds so am constantly symptomatic.should i be concerned about it?

If you have an irregular heart rhythm, it's wise to document its presence& determine the nature & extent of the irregularity. Unless a resting EKG captures the regularity, the best way to do it is wearing an outpatient cardiac monitor for 24-48 hours or more & noting times when you experience any palpitations. When you're dealing with issues like blood pressure & heart rhythms, accuracy is needed
