Yes: Bactroban (mupirocin) is a highly potent topical antibiotic. If there is an infection at the wound site, it would be appropriate to use this after cleansing thoroughly. If this doesn't resolve within a few days or appears to be worsening, follow up with your doctor as more aggressive treatment might be needed. Hope that helps!
