A member asked:

Ive had anxiety about als lately. how do i get tested for this? so it can most likely be ruled out and i can take my life back

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ALS: As far as I know no one be will put through the extensive and, sometimes, uncomfortable tests for ALS unless they are truly symptomatic and all other possibilities have been ruled out. I would suggest speaking to your primary care physician to discuss whatever symptoms you may be experiencing. If nothing else shows up, locate a good therapist to work on anxiety reducing strategies.
