The tissue in the: nose and ear canal R very delicate and have very superficial blood vessels.Espically in the setting of inflammation from a cold or allergies.This tissue is easily disrupted and can leak blood.U likely scratched your ear canal and a little bloody nose. Addendum:A punctured ear drum should be ruled out with an examination by a qualified physician.

Stop: please stop using Q tips for inside the ear the old saying stay corrected do not put in your ear anything smaller than your elbow most likely you are having a dry upper respiratory tract and that could be causing the bleeding in the nose of course you could be congested use saline nasal spray try not to touch your ear take claritin or zyrtec during the day take benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night stay hydrated
