Take it early: Before exercise rather, so you can have enough night time sleep, in addition to albuterol before exercise as well, ask your doctor about it, montelukast can cause sleep disorders as a side effect, hence you can change the timing of the dose, also it can be taken 2 hours before exercise to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm, good luck
