Thumping in my left ear for about a week now. super random, not painful just irritating. not so much sound as is a thump. doesn't seem like tinnitus.

Eustachian tube: Dysfunction. This tiny tube leads from the middle ear behind eardrum to posterior pharynx and serves to equalize pressure in middle ear. If blocked partially, movement of eardrum and thumping will occur as pressure changes occur. Decongestants will help. Thanks for trusting HealthTap!
