Not really: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is used for allergy. If you are sneezing then you may have allergy or starting a cold. You may have conjunctivitis that causing your eye redness. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can make your eye dry. Dry eye can cause redness too from irritation.

Possible: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) can dry up your eyes. Consider trying artificial tear whenever you take this pill and see if it helps. On the other hand, many people with nasal allergy also have eye allergy problem as well. May also consider taking the non-sedating AHs which do not have the drying effect. If problem persists, see your doctor.
