Benadryl (diphenhydramine) & allergies: You can certainly try Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for allergies but (1) remember that it's sedating so you should only take it at night, and (2) it may not technically help your eye symptoms - not all medications do. Singular would, but it's not OTC.

Allergy attack: From dust, and claritin didn't work, probably benadryl (diphenhydramine) too won't, no harm trying, it's sedaing though, don't exceed recommended dosage or drive if drowsy, try saline nasal wash several times, that would help cleanse any allergens sticking to your nasal passages, also try OTC steroid nasal spray, and if antihistaminic eye drops are OTC in your state, till seen by an allergist, check acaai.org
