Mucus thinner: Mucinex (guaifenesin) thins the mucus secretions throughout your sinus and respiratory systems. It doesn't STOP mucus. If allergic, consider an antihistamine to dry the secretions. Drink copious water too. Discolored mucus may indicate the need for further treatment. See your physician with persistent symptoms.
