Go to ER: Its possible your blood sugars are very elevated. If your sugars and ketones are elevated you may also be severely dehydrated leading to a rapid heart rate. I strongly suggest especially since you are having palpitations to be seen at an emergency room or urgent care facility ASAP! Sometimes type 2 diabetes can turn into type 1 diabetes and the patient needs insulin.
