Naproxen: Yes. Quite simply medications can harm you if taken in doses beyond what is safe. Naproxen is a very safe anti-inflammatory. The prescription dose is at the most 1500 mg in one day for a few days only. The standard safe dose is 440 to 500 mg twice daily. Naproxen when taken in too high dose can cause stomach and kidney troubles.
