Swollen and painful lymph nodes in neck. my doc thinks it's my psoriasis, but i do not, what else could this be?

Adenitis...: Adenitis.....if cold- nontender will indicate Lymphoma etc. If it is tender...inflammatory in nature...may be infectious in nature.....can be related to oral cavity, scalp ,skin related infection. Try a course of antibiotic like Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) DS ...that will improve psoriasis also.

Your DR is probably: Do not take an antibiotic unless you know you have a treatable infection. Your DR is probably correct. Scalp psoriasis which is irritated will cause large lymph nodes in the neck. You need to treat your psoriasis.
