Technically no: The Tricyclic antidepressants appear to be more effective than SSRI's in treating chronic headache. There are other options - such as doxepin, gabapentin tizanidine, and others. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and see if you can come up with a treatment plan that has an acceptable side effect profile. Hope that helps!
