Concerned...: if that foot is truly colder than the other foot, I would be concerned that the circulation to that foot was compromised, and likely it relates to the ankle injury. It would seem that the injury would be rather severe to cause a circulatory problem, perhaps there is even a fracture that was diagnosed. Suggest seeing an orthopedist.

Yes: You may have developed a traction injury to a nerve or it can be a response to trauma regarding nerves around that area. It should be evaluated. I see this response from time to time from trauma and well as surgery. It's difficult to say without seeing you, many times it can get better with time, but you should be seen and to eval. if treatment is needed.

RSD - CRPS: If you are in pain with color difference between extremities and a temperature difference as well, A diagnosis that needs to be ruled out quickly is Complex regional Pain syndrome (CRPS) -RSD). You should see either a neurologist, orthopedist or foot and ankle surgeon.

CRPS: If a break to a bone has been ruled out and there is no soft tissue damage, then CRPS must be looked into further. A pain management specialist can evaluate you for a sympatheic block.
