I had a chest x-ray done as a follow up they found a 1.5 inch "density" in the original x-ray taken in august. it hasn't changed but what could it be?

Many things...: A nodule on X-ray is non-specific. Density means a certain area of the lung has either more fluid or tissue than air, so this could represent an infection, scarring from prior infection, a lymph node, or (worst scenario) a tumor or cancer (more likely if u r a smoker or hang around air pollution workplace). If it hasn't changed in 6 mo, it is good news; however, ur pulmonologist & u shd keep tabs
