Not recommended.: potassium supplements in general do not have any beneficial effects, unless you are diagnosed with low potassium, in which case supplements may be necessary. If you have not been diagnosed as such, however, potassium supplements will not be beneficial, and can, under the wrong circumstances, cause problems with your heart rhythm, occasionally even fatal, if potassium level rises too high. Beware!
