A member asked:

I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and a lump on my upper back. all are painless. should i see a doctor about this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Most lumps in back are sebaceous cysts or lipomas. If a lesion there were malignant it would drain to axilla and not neck. The lump should be examined to define its nature and then if excsion not indicated, the nature of the cervical nodes should be evaluated. This can only be accomplished by a physician.
