Be patient: These likely started in pregnancy and will stop when baby gets older. The hiccup is thought to represent an electrical wave like a heart beat that circles the breathing muscle until it fades. The close swallowing tube/stomach to the breathing muscle is a factor. As baby grows longer, the structures separate slightly and the process stops.
