A member asked:

What can cause transient numbness in one ear canal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too Ear-ly To Know: The sensory innervation of the ear canal is complex, so it's very unlikely that a nerve problem is causing your numbness. Also the fact that your symptom is"transient" is unusual. And it would be helpful to know if your numbness is a complete loss of feeling or some variant of that (tingling, decreased sensation, etc). Someone needs to look in there to see if something is stuck in there, or whatever
