A member asked:

What does it mean to have iron total at 38l, binding capacity at 471h, and saturation at an 8l?thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Iron deficiency: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, like many women who lose blood during menses, you are deficient in iron. Take oral iron supplement available over the counter. It may help to take multiple vitamin also.
