Very likely: Certainly, the description and symptoms you describe are likely associated with cancer. This should be confirmed with a biopsy. The biopsy will not only validate the diagnosis but will identify the cancer type and stage. One caveat, no exam is perfect. it is possible you don't have cancer. Your doctor is likely to order a CT scan to see the extent of the mass outside the esophagus.
