Sciatica: Can be caused by pinching of nerves in low back or pelvis. See an osteopath for evaluation. You don't describe swelling dismally in the leg or calf tenderness, so that blood clots not likely.

Sounds like : Nerve impingement in low back. It is more likely sciatica or herniated disc rather than fibromyalgia, if it is only on left side, if you have swelling, it could be thrombophlebitis. If you have muscle weakness on the same leg, this is a bad sign, because it means both sensory and motor nerve fibers are being affected. Go see the doctor who ordered your MRI to get more detailed exam.
