Yes: The coldness and hardness of the ice can traumatize the teeth setting up fractures in thru the crown of tooth which can lead to broken teeth and tooth loss.

Chewing ice: Chewing ice can cause cracks or breakage of your teeth.This is not a safe thing to do for your teeth.

Chewing ice: I have had numerous patients over the years with ice chewing habits. They tend to break teeth, bonded fillings and even crowns! Not a good habit to have.
