Saliva : You could be dehydrated or be having post nasal drip with sinus infection. Your saliva glands could be infected. You could also have a vitamin deficiency, endocrine problem or neurological (brain) issue. People with epilepsy or migraines report salty taste often. Increase your water intake for two days-if still present see your doctor.

See a dentist: It may be an infection. Do your gums bleed? Pus has a salty taste. Eating ice (which you shouldn't do by the way) or chewing gum might spread and dilute the fluid from infection around your mouth making the taste more prominent. You should see a dentist to evaluate your concern.
