It shouldn't: Sugar free maple syrup is a concoction of chemicals, and since there is no natural sugars in it, it should not contribule to bacterial acid production.

Check: Check it to see if there are any acids in it , such as citric or phosphoric. If so, then it can help break down teeth

Not recommended: Maple syrup is almost entirely sucrose. When maple syrup stays on the teeth and breaks down, you've got sugar on your teeth.
