Yes and no: Tums (calcium carbonate) are an excellent source of calcium. One must be careful with taking too much sugar free Tums (calcium carbonate), because that may be sweetened with sorbitol, which could cause diarrhea if taken in excess. I doubt that using calcium supplements will make you successful in remineralizing teeth though. However, it probably would not hurt you and may give you benefits in maintaining bone density.
