A member asked:

How do the eyes work to create images from refracted light rays?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Electrochemical: The focusing elements of the eye present a sharp image of what is viewed to the retina. Those cells convert the image by a chemical shift, to an electrical signal which travels up the optic nerve to the brain where the image is interpreted and vision is made.
