Diet isn't key: Try to avoid a whole lot of saturated fats and very cholesterol-rich stuff, as much as you feel you want to. What you don't need to be doing is focus on petty dietary avoidances. Have a burger if you want from time to time. I'd much rather you be a non-smoker, be trim, exercise for 1/2 to 1 hour daily, and if your genetics are such as you need medication, use it judiciously.
