Science..not support: 55y/o Female says I have high cholesterol, trying hard to diet to get it down, is it ok to eat an avocado for lunch every day? Commended for efforts but there other helpful ways; Increase walking/ swimming/ exercise as tolerate; Avoid Fried foods, much cheese/nuts/Chocolate & Spreads on foods. Ask PCP for medications already approved for lipids. The science for daily Avocado is not supported.

Dieting is good: but not enough in cases of hyperlipidemia, and diabetes type two, at least until you get your weight down and keep it down. Kindly follow up with your doctor, take the cholesterol lowering drugs, there are plenty out there, with careful monitoring you should be fine and would avoid complications of the disease and medications side effects, good luck
