A member asked:

Could smoke inhalation from a house fire cause throat cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: You're living in an ocean of carcinogens -- there's stuff in lemons and pepper that would be banned if they were artificial chemicals. Cancer is multistage process of molecular events. You'll never prove, and have little reason to believe, that a particular one-time exposure -- even if quite rough -- had anything to do with a particular cancer.
