May have pathology: The opening of the wind pipe, the larynx with its vocal cords sits just in front of the swallowing tube or cervical esophagus. When there are swallowing problems and shortness of breath, the problem has to be connected i.e. pathology on epiglottis, or problem just above cords in supralaryngeal region. Laryngoscospy needed and followed with bx is pathology noted.
