Routine?: I am never comfortable with the word routine. However, when you go for a checkup, they should ask you how often you brush, floss and rinse. They should evaluate how efficient your home care is, if you are missing any areas and recommend methods to help you improve, if needed.

Speak with dentist: When you visit your dentist, the dentist will perform a clinical and radiographic examination. The dentist will perform an oral cancer screen as part of the examination. The hygienist will evaluate your gingival health and may do periodontal probing in addition to ascertain if your gums are in good health.
