Safer for whom?: Some VBACs are safer for mothers but not for babies and some VBACs are riskier for mothers and for babies. Others are not.
Some repeat Cesareans are riskier for mothers and for babies and other Cesareans are safer for mothers and for babies. Others are not.

Vaginal births are: As there are risks and benefits to VBAC and risks and benefits to repeat Cesarian births, your obstetrical team needs to evaluate your personal reproductive history, offer you an educated advice/counseling to assist you in making a "shared informed decision".

Depends: It depends on a number of factors which mode of delivery to choose after a previous c/section. First and foremost, the reason for the first c/section needs to be taken into account. Next, is the hospital equipped to allow for a safe VBAC. This is a question that needs to be discussed with your obstetrician. If you have your prenatal care in a "staff clinic", ask to talk to the attending physician.
