Different feelings: Thinking of ending your life as an answer to the difficult tasks of life can feel momentarily good. When you're not sure what to do, and you feel enraged, hopeless, or overwhelmed, ending your life seems like a solution. Sometimes these emotions are so strong, they are well past the average feeling of sadness. The feeling of resolving them with suicide can feel neutralizing, but it's detachment.
