Frankly: NEITHER....although eating plants such as magnolia's is generally NOT a good idea the idea that they are poisonous to Dogs cats Horses etc is false..They are certainly NOT poisonous to touch! Beautiful plants/trees to grow! Enjoy! Hope this helps Dr Z

Neither: Interestingly, magnolia is considered to be a non toxic (non poisonous) plant according to Poison Control, the authority on poisonous substances, and a good number to know in case you need to know the answers quick re: a possible poisoning. Their number is 1-800-222-1222. Put it in your phone for emergencies! I would not ingest magnolia though, it could make you sick, (but it's not poisonous).
