Cellulose: We are not able to digest Cellulose which is the outer portion of corn.

Ur not a termite: You do digest the inner portion of corn. Much of the world thrives on it's nutrient quality. However, the outer coat of the corns nutrients is composed of cellulose, the main component of wood. Humans do not have the enzyme needed to digest cellulose, like a termite, so that material passes trough as would any wood shavings you consume.
