Yes: It is common to have some swelling or fluid in the pocket where the hernia was. It will take a few weeks to go away.

Probably not: Most likely this is some swelling or fluid in the area of the repair. If so should go away with time. As long as no pain, you have the luxury of waiting. If it becomes painful, or doesn't show signs of improving over next few weeks, you should certainly be checked by your surgeon.
