Ask your surgeon : Every surgeon has his/her own post-op preferences. It's always best to check with them. Sutures in the ankles and feet usually need 12-14 days for full strength with the heel and some areas taking even longer. I don't let my patients take a bath for a full week after suture removal to ensure the wound doesn't open. If you do soak in a tub, keep the foot high and dry.

Stitches: After five days, it should be fine to soak in a bathtub without causing any harm to the wound.
