No reason to take: such a high dose of Vit C , although in a normal person excretes most of it , speak to your OB doctor its effects on your baby.

Probably OK but...: Some authorities advise people shouldn't take more than 2000 mg of C a day as some people get loose stools at higher doses but that's uncommon and not serious. Some advise pregnant women avoid high doses as your baby could get used to high doses but no research supports this. Some believe high doses in early pregnancy could induce miscarriage but those are doses much higher than 3 gr. See comment:
