Depends: It depends what you are being treated for, but it often is to see what has been diagnosed, what has been tried in the past, so she doesn't repeat testing or trial treatments.

Therapy?: Physical therapy? Psychiatric therapy? I imagine your doctor simply wants to be able to take better care of you and looking at the therapy notes will help them.
